Well we decided to get a different variete of blackberry called Marionberry, they are a little sweeter than blackberry but they are better in jams. And since it was late in the season we got some leftover plants for half price.
We needed a place to stick them so they won’t go all wild and get mixed in with the Raspberries or blackberries. So we decided to put them in pots. But after seeing the crazy amount they want for pots we decided to cut a barrel in half that we had kicking around the homestead.
We drilled some holes for drainage and put some rocks at the bottom just to help keep them from getting plugged up.
And added the main ingredient, dirt.
And finally planted them, turned out quite well, I put a bit of wood under each one. We will build a trellis for them to climb on later.
